Make Em Laugh!

This product is HILARIOUS! I don't know why, but I think it would just be awesome to wear all night, or even at the wedding itself for some pretty kooky wedding photos!

Or, it makes a great gag gift for the hen night!

It's pretty sturdy, and one size fits all. I wore it over my glasses and it felt just fine.

You're kind of blinded while wearing it, so the combination of that plus alcohol, I don't think you should be crossing the street with these on!!!

Totally laughing as I'm writing this, thinking about the fun times me and my friends will have while wearing these at her wedding. I would totally get them again for other friends who are getting married. I only wish they came in different color choices to match the wedding theme.

5/5 on FUN!

I got these for free in exchange for my review, but you can totally get yours from AMAZON.

Who Needs One?

In this day and age, I think everyone does.

What am I talking about? A dash cam! I don't know about you, but in my birth country, dash cams are very popular due to the fact that everything can be caught on camera after an accident, or case of road rage. A dash cam can capture events unfolding, or just capture the scenery of a nice long drive down Big Sur.

This camera from Smarssen far exceeded my expectations. The camera picture is clear, not pixellated, and is easy to clip on and off of the accessories. It comes with everything minus the memory card, which is easily found at any store carrying a standard size Micro SD/SDHC card. However, once installed, it is ready to go.

So cute and tiny!
The only thing I found difficult was trying to maneuver the controls without an instruction manual with photos. I could easily read it and work the functions, but it was harder for my 60+ year old father to figure out. So, an instruction manual with photos might actually help out more, if possible.

Overall, I found that the camera is gorgeous, very easily transferrable with additional mounts purchased, and is quite useful.

I received this product heavily discounted in exchange for my review, but you can purchase yours >> HERE << and you won't regret it!

ICOSA Brewhouse Stainless Steel Coffee Dripper with Accessories

I know I just posted a coffee dripper blog post recently, but I received another one almost back to back. It was awesome to see side-by-side which dripper worked better. I honestly thought this one was.

Introducing the ICOSA Brewhouse stainless steel coffee dripper with accessories.

Gun to my head, I would purchase this set over the Tomasino, which only comes with the dripper. This is actually pretty functional, and I love the fact that it is more affordable.

It brewed a solid cup of coffee, and I actually prefer the removable feature of the stand and coffee drip cone. Also, the mesh seems finer, and doesn't trap grinds the way my French press mesh does.

5/5 on easy cleaning and ready for the next cup.

I received mine for free to review (and WILL BUY AGAIN) in exchange for my review, but you can definitely obtain yours from here, it's affordable and gorgeous: ICOSA BREWHOUSE STAINLESS STEEL

Tomasino Coffee Brewer

Those of you who know me know that I am hopelessly in love with coffee and the brewing process. I have a French press, Keurig and at one point before it died, my beloved Verismo machine from Starbucks. I grind my own beans, I make sure that the water temperature is correct, and for the French press, timing is everything.

Instructables on the box!

So, I have never ventured into the world of instant coffee drippers before. I always thought that the best coffee needed to be infused or crushed with pressure to get the best result. Until today. Never before had I received a shot of lifeblood within minutes, I always had to wait before the perfect cup was ready. I take my coffee fairly seriously.

It came well packaged, and the gleam, I mean just look at it!

This drip came attached to the stand and it's all in one piece, which I love, so that parts don't go all over the place. There was no included spoon, but that's okay, I have one. The entire dripper was sturdy and well crafted. It looks like it will last me a LOOOOOOONG time, especially if it's titanium coated and will never tarnish. There is a little catch recess on the bottom that catches all the drips that sometimes happens from pouring the hot water. Yes, it happens. Then, almost like magic, you have coffee! Sure, sure it's not as easy as popping in a Keurig cup and tossing it away in terms of cleanliness, but I don't like watery coffee and more often than not, there's not enough coffee in a Keurig pod to fuel my coffee needs. The ability to get instant coffee without using instant grinds, the measure of control you have with a dripper is fantastic. I am so pleasantly surprised and I would definitely recommend purchasing this drip if you want a product that complements your coffee bar.

Eye See You

I normally don't use eye products, but when I was approached by this company called Naturel Commodity, I figured, "What the heck? I'll give it a shot."

The product was given to me at a really deep discount, so that I could test it out and review it for them.

It arrived via AMAZON PRIME, and was packaged well in a box. It was not left in my mailbox but outside my door which was great, since I would rather not have my beauty products left in the afternoon heat of the community mailbox that we have in this area. Heat ruins the properties of most beauty products.

So the packaging of the eye serum itself is so pretty and very aesthetically pleasing. It seems to be in tying with their "natural" product tagline. It came sealed with a perforated tab down one side, and the entire plastic sheeting comes off, revealing a cap and bottle. Once the cap is removed, it appears to be a pump type dispenser. I definitely prefer this because it's more sanitary than other eye product packaging, such as Clinique's.

Two pumps outputs enough product to cover both eyes for me, I usually apply it straight on my fingers, but for demonstration purposes, I have it on the back of my hand. Then I use my ring finger to tap it under my eyes and around the lids and under the brow bone.

The Vitamin C in this eye serum is excellent for clearing up whiteheads, of which I do have plenty, and it is a gentler skin brightener than other Vitamin C serums meant for your face. The product doesn't feel heavy at all, and absorbs very quickly.

Starting Autumn Off The Right Way

I think I've slept for all of 3 hours today. Mostly because I was concerned with actually getting some work done, and as a result, I only have 2 discussion posts left this week on hernias. Then, as I woke up, I received some wonderful news! Hopeful news. The rest of the day was nothing but re-watching American Horror Story: Murder House. It was so twisted the first time around, watching it again, I've caught more details I missed on the first run.

Delicious cooked apples in cinnamon!
In other news, last week, we received more than two dozen green tart apples from a community neighbor who had more than enough apples to go around. I peeled and sliced with the help of my mum, it made things go quickly. Tossed them in a mixture of citric acid and water to stop them from browning. Grabbed a large pot afterwards, rinsed the apples and cooked them with brown sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon until ooey gooey. The whole house smelled delightful!

The appropriate ratio of crisp to apple!
The one thing about living in the PNW is that it stays cool throughout the year except for a few spots of days which are super warm. I actually had to place my two sticks of butter next to the pilot light of my fireplace to soften them up for the crisp topping! Of course one of these is going to go to my wonderful neighbor.

Warmed and topped with vanilla ice cream.

Light Up Ahead

So apparently, I've fallen into the habit of not blogging anymore. Instagram has so much instant gratification. A short blog and vlog (that's video log for you not with-it in the lingo) wrapped all in one photo is just too great to pass over. Especially when you're a mother juggling full time motherhood and going to school for medical assisting. I have been BrainParts on Twitter for the longest time. I hope I can continue blogging once again to hone and keep my writing skills on point.

The primary reason this blog was started was to start doing reviews. I could not decide if I wanted to do reviews on local food spots. We have YELP! and Chowhound for those, who's going to accidentally stumble onto my blog and find it more useful than those two other tools?

---

Anyway, today's blog is about this nifty website called Tomoson. It hooks you up to sellers of all kinds who are looking to send you a product in exchange for your genuine review and promotion. I have indeed received an item from the Matisse Corporation. I purchased it off AMAZON.COM with a promotional code that reduced the price of the item to $0.00. It was shipped to me free of charge with my Amazon Prime account and arrived within 2 days of purchase.

So cute.

Bonus: Came with mounting tools!

The product arrived well packaged and I loved that it was small. It literally fit on the palm of my hand, I could already see a hundred potential uses for it. Due to the fact that it was square and not round, it could be placed almost on any flat surface and the illumination was so strong and spread out! I can genuinely say that this item would have been on my buy list if I did not already receive it for free. I placed it in my kitchen larder, and it was wonderfully bright.

Lit up the whole larder

Teen Brain and Baby Brain stole it though, and placed it in their bathroom so that they could maneuver around at night without turning on the main light and blinding themselves. Smart Brains I have. All in all, for the price paid, this item is very useful and welcome in our household. It takes 3 AAA batteries and I'm hoping it will last for awhile before the battery needs changing. I am pretty sure the batteries will go far, as the motion sensor is not overly sensitive, and does activate properly when someone is there.

It definitely helps the boys
